After 15 years working in Artist Development, Publicity, Marketing and Sales and Distribution for international Music Industry giants like Capitol, MCA, Geffen, IRS, Motown Records, and the Universal Music Group, Ms. Vignola left a successful career to study Voice and Opera full time at the Purchase Conservatory of Music. In 1998 she had made plans to move her studies to Europe when University hired Jacque Trussel as the new Director of Opera Performance/Vocal Studies, Ms. Vignola was so excited by his new ideas, she decided to stay and offer her vast administrative experience to help him build this successful program. For the past 16 years she has served as the Assistant Director of the multi award winning Purchase Opera and Assistant to Professor Trussel. She has been the Assistant Director of all Opera Productions over the last 17 years and has assisted in leading the Purchase Opera to numerous national award winning productions. In the summer of 2008, she and Professor Trussel collaborated to write the libretto for Raphael Lucas’ Confession. The Opera went on the win National Opera Association’s Best Chamber Production and was recorded by Albany Records.
